On June 25, a strategic meeting was held with a delegation from Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University at the National University of Ostroh Academy. The event marked a significant step in fostering partnerships between two leading higher education institutions in Ukraine, focusing on the exchange of experiences in science, international cooperation, project activities, and educational innovations.
Leading experts from various fields represented the Carpathian National University: Mykola Stovban, professor of the Department of Therapy, Rehabilitation, and Morphology; Lilia Midak, Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching Methods, Associate Professor of the Department of Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Education; Tetiana Hrynyishak, Head of the Educational and Scientific Center for Research, Projects, and Scientific Information; Head of the Project Management Department, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance Tetiana Solodzhuk; Specialist of the International Relations Department Kateryna Kobuta; and Director of the Project and Educational Center “Agents of Change,” Associate Professor of the Department of Finance Svitlana Kropelnytska.
On behalf of Ostroh Academy, the meeting was attended by Olga Kryvytska, Head of the Research Department, Oksana Mararenko, Head of the International Relations Department, Olena Shershnova, Assistant to the Rector for Project Activities, Head of the Department of Finance and Business, Yulia Shulyk, representative of the Department of Public Health and Physical Education, Anna Gilman, and Kateryna Yakunina, Assistant to the rector for Strategic Development and Quality Assurance in Education.
The meeting opened with a discussion with Professor Eduard Balashov, Rector of NAU, during which participants deliberated on the shared challenges facing Ukrainian higher education institutions and considered strategic approaches to strengthening cooperation and fostering long-term collaboration.
The central segment of the event focused on a working session, during which the parties presented their respective achievements in implementing scientific, international, infrastructural, and educational projects. Key discussion points encompassed the advancement of initiatives in public health, chemistry, and morphology; identification of potential areas for collaborative project implementation; the development of internal mobility programs, academic curricula, and summer schools; as well as the enhancement of cooperation with local communities and the business sector. The visit laid the groundwork for deepening inter-university collaboration, addressing contemporary challenges jointly, and enhancing the position of Ukrainian higher education within the European educational and scientific landscape.
