Professors Nadiya Lutsan and Anna Struk from the Faculty of Education at Precarpathian National University visited Poland as part of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Project mentUwell – Preserving Youth Mental Wellbeing in Wartime Migration Crisis.
During their stay in Katowice-Nikiszowiec, the international expert group gained many positive impressions from communicating with various specialists: teachers, psychologists, and educators (practitioners) who provide support to children and youth from Ukraine.
The invited experts shared their ideas on introducing tools for educators, volunteers, and others who work with young people and care about preserving their mental well-being in the context of the war and migration crisis.
The presentation and discussion of the handbook for teachers and educators, delivered by Professor Monika Bąk-Sosnowska, proved highly informative. The publication outlines the psychological challenges faced by children and young people from Ukraine and offers practical recommendations for supporting them in coping with stress and trauma.
University representatives, Professor Nadiya Lutsan and Anna Struk, presented their own research, which will contribute to the development of a comprehensive methodology and practical tools aimed at preserving the mental well-being of young people during wartime migration crises.
The highlight of the meeting was a workshop led by Professor Maciej Witkowski, which encouraged participants to gain a deeper understanding of intercultural communication and the dynamics of interaction across different cultures.
We express our sincere gratitude to our Polish partners for organizing this event and sharing valuable ideas for future collaboration. Their efforts contribute to strengthening the university’s role in the global educational community and open new opportunities for the development of international partnerships.
