PNU Professor Exchanges Ideas with Romanian Colleagues as Part of the Erasmus+ Project

Professor Nadiya Lutsan, from the Faculty of Education at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, visited Romania within the framework of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Project “mentUwell – Preserving Youth Mental Wellbeing in Wartime Migration Crisis.”

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas with Romanian colleagues, discuss current challenges in supporting the mental well-being of young people affected by wartime displacement, and explore new approaches to international collaboration in education and psychology.

The invited experts presented their work with vulnerable children (Ioana Boldis) and shared experience in service learning for migrant children (Professor Anda Culisir). During the visit, participants had the opportunity to learn about the methodologies, practices, and tools developed to support children and young people in the crisis caused by the war. In particular, they became acquainted with the activities of the Ukrainian Youth Educational Hub, which provides educational and psychological support to displaced youth.

Project founder Kseniia Shyriaieva emphasized that the center’s specialists focus on helping students master the Ukrainian curriculum, socialize, and integrate into Romanian society. “It is a place for creativity and research. Here, children participate in interactive classes, creative workshops, sessions with psychologists, computer literacy courses, and cultural exchanges with volunteers from around the world,” she noted.

“We are very grateful to our Romanian colleagues for their excellent organization, new ideas for cooperation, and assistance to our compatriots,” added Professor Nadiya Lutsan.
